Method To Upgrade Your Tecno Phantom 6 Plus to Android 7.1.1 Nougat

No doubt TECNO Mobile has esterblished itself as one of the leading brand in Nigeria. The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer after releasing the Tecno Phantom 6 Plus, decided to release a nougat update for the device. 

The tech giant promised to release the update by August 4 and has kept to its promise. The device which will be the first Tecno smartphone to receive an over-the-Air upgrade, will be enjoying a move from Android 6.0 Marshmallow to 7.1.1 Nougat.

It should be noted that Tecno Phantom 6 Plus come loaded with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 Deca-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. The 5.95 inches display device comes with a body dimension of 160.35 x 83.46 x 7.7 mm and a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It has a massive battey capacity of 4050mAh and has a 21MP autofocus rear camera and 8MP front shooter.

Update size is around 1.7GB

Ensure you have at least 6GB free memory space before proceeding

 How to perform the Tecno Phantom 6 Plus Nougat Update

Before proceeding with the update, please note that if your device was rooted, you most have to unrooted so you don't crash you phone. Also ensure you charge the battery above 50% to avoid an interruption. Like I started above the update is via OTA so proceed as follows 

Go to setting>About Phone>System update

Search for the Nougat update then click to download 

Note the process may take a while due to file size and download server

After downloading the files update it will automatically unzip

Click install and wait for device to upgrade to Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

After updating, you can then enjoy the new Android 7.1.1 Nougat on your device.
