New Peugeot Pick-up Truck To Replace 404 And 504 Pick-up (Photos)

Do you remember the old Peugeot 404 and 504 pick up trucks? Sure, it’s been a while and they’ve been gone like forever. They gave Peugeot that unparalleled prestige at the time.. 

In a bid to have a new workhorse, a new Peugeot pick up truck has been birthed. It is based on the design of the Chinese pick up (Zhengzhou Nissan Auto Rich). The pick-up is aimed at the African market due to the past success of the 404 and 504.

According to Peugeot, the new pickup truck has a length of 5.08m (197.2in), a ground clearance between 210mm (8.3in) and 215mm (8.5in), depending on the model, a 1.4m (55.1in) and 1.39m (54.7in) wide bed, with anchoring hooks, and a maximum payload of 815kg (1,797lbs).

It is powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine that makes 115hp and 207lb-ft of torque, combined with a 5-speed stick shift.

Although pictures of the interior haven’t been released, there are two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, with the latter bringing 4 High and 4 Low modes from which customers can choose from.

The Peugeot Pick-up Truck will commence sales from September in Africa.
