The Nigeria Police Force in reaction to the recent trends in social media with calls for scrapping SARS #ENDSARS the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has ordered the reorganisation of the squad across the country.

The IGP in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood has directed immediate reorganization on SARS across the nation and investigation into all allegations and complaints raise.

“The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. The statement said further that, in the new arrangement, a Commissioner of Police is now the overall head of the Federal Anti-Robbery Squad nationwide under the Department of Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja.

“The Police Zonal Commands, State Commands and Divisions will continue to operate anti-crime units/sections, crime prevention and control squads and teams imperative to prevent and detect crimes and criminalities in their Area of Responsibilities, and other crack squads necessary to sustain law and order and protection of life and properties in their Area of responsibilities (AOR).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it is happy former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has finally realised that he was being deceived by his former party.

In a statement issued Sunday by its national publicity secretary Dayo Adeyeye, the PDP also welcomed the former vice president who rejoined the party a few days after he left the All Progressive Congress (APC).

“We are indeed glad that he (Atiku) has realised the unbridled lies/deceit of his former party, the All Progressive Congress (APC),” the statement said.

“The PDP remains his home; a house he was part of building and which he helped to nurture. We believe his return will add value in the process of rebuilding our party to greater heights.”

The PDP described Atiku’s return as another milestone recorded by its leadership in the quest to reconcile, rebuild and restructure the party ahead of the 2019 general elections and beyond.

With the development, Adeyeye said the PDP leadership would continue to remain transparent and dedicated to the service of the party while he called on former party members in other political parties to return home.

“We are equally extending our invitation to all those in the APC who are frustrated by the party’s failure to deliver the goods. Anyone who is desirous of a return to the era of abundance and freedom under the PDP administration is welcome; the umbrella is big enough to accommodate all.

“We enjoin our members nationwide to come together as one family, as we march to Eagle Square, Abuja on Saturday 9 – Sunday 10, December 2017, to elect our new leaders who will manage the affairs of our party at the national level,” he said.

The former vice president announced his defection to the PDP on Sunday afternoon in a Facebook video where he said he has decided to return home after the issues that led to his exit had been resolved.

He had also accused his former party of failing to effect the change it promised Nigerians, saying the party has let the people down.

“I want to let you know that I am returning home to the PDP as the issues that led me to leave it have now been resolved and it is clear that the APC has let the Nigerian people, and especially our young people, down,” he had said.

Atiku was the vice to former President Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007 after Nigeria returned to democracy.

After the end of Obasanjo’s administration, he contested and lost the presidential election of 2007 on the platform of the then Action Congress.

He had declared his intention to run for the presidency in 2011 but also lost to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The former vice president joined the APC in February 2014 and remained in the party until his exit on November 24, 2017.

Actor Kunle Remix

Actor, Kunle Remi has finally broken his silence after he was taunted on social media over alleged relationship with Adesua Etomi Wellington.

After facing backlash, insults and jabs from Nigerians who taunted him for allowing Banky W marry Adesua Etomi who many had believed was his ex-girlfriend, Nigerian actor Kunle Remi has finally broken his silence.

In a statement released by his management, Remi revealed that he never dated Adesua and lambasted media for projecting him in a bad light.

The statement reads: MY NAME IS KUNLE REMI and Not ADESUA’s Ex.

Silence, they say is Golden.

I have been silent, but some people have taken this as an invitation to take the piss!! I have chosen my words and thought this action through, so read carefully, yes, pay attention I will only say this once.
Adesua Etomi and Remi on the set of a movie

I am not a bitter person neither am I a sadist.

‘If’ you know me, (if you don’t, ask about me from those that do) you would know I am a very positive and I radiate good vibes only, I am not here for any form of negativity whatsoever.

My name has been used inappropriately, and it is time I set the record straight.

I intentionally waited till after the festive of the beautiful wedding ceremony had come to a natural halt out of respect for the couple.

I have not till this present day said to any blogger, or mentioned on any social media platform, or granted any interview admitting or confirming that I was ever in a relationship with the former Miss Adesua Etomi who as well all know tied the knot over the past weekend, neither do I recall her doing the same.

Yet some jobless people cooked up stories and sold it to other jobless people and then jobless readers and commentators believed it and hence the rumors started circulating with no proof other than pictures of us on a Movie set titled (FALLING. A great film by the way, It’s on Netflix if you haven’t seen it.).
Adesua and Remi on the set of a movie

Contrary to the opinion of people who feel theirs matters, I don’t have to congratulate the beautiful couple publicly to prove anything. Some of us would rather do our things privately. You CAN’T believe all you see on social media (some people will still not understand).

Take for example; Recently I posted a picture of my Beautiful Nephew on my Instagram and as expected, rumors started again without any confirmation that I have a baby. (Quote me) I never confirmed to anyone that he is My Son. So there you go!!. Not all you see or read on social media is the gospel truth.

Having said that this is my advice to those this may concern; Just for your sanity try to be sure about the rumors and gist before you tongue lash people or judge people.

Sometimes Not every one is strong enough to handle it.
If you don’t know anything or if you are not sure, you don’t have to comment or curse people just SHUT UP. “If You don’t talk (in cases like this) you won’t die”.
BE SURE BEFORE YOU JUDGE ANYONE, OR BETTER STILL DON’T. THAT’S WHY GOD SAYS HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN JUDGE US ALL.

Don’t Curse yourself.

Thank you for reading.

PS : Next Time you want to talk about me or refer to me. My Name is KUNLE REMI, the charming, charismatic , God Fearing, hardworking , Gentlemen but you can just call me THE ACTOR!!
Signed.

Protestor against Libyan slavery

Slave trade of African migrants including Nigerians is currently ongoing in Libya. This, exposed by CNN in a video has brought the people to their consciousness, especially those who did not know that such barbaric practice is still in existence.

It took a Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha, who in a video decried the plight of the sufferings of Africans being sold into slavery in Libya and others who die in the mediterranean sea all in a bid for greener pasture.

Georgina called out celebrities to use their popularity, lend their voices to stop the evil practice. She said that when other countries are facing issues of flood, violence e.t.c, we are usually the first to speak up and support them, so how come we are silent at a time like this in our own country.

This move, however, made an impact as American superstar Chris Brown and other public figures including Omoni Oboli, Mercy Aigbe, Uriel Oputa, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Dbanj, amongst others have at different times on social media voiced their dissatisfaction with the issue.

Yesterday, 1st December 2017, Nigerians staged a protest led by Tope Fagunwa at the United Nations High Commission Office on Awolowo road, Ikoyi, Lagos. Lots of supporters joined the movement chanting ”We are Africans, Solidarity forever, we shall always fight for our rights as well as Say no to Libya Slavery and Black Lives Matter” and also holding placards with various inscriptions about poor governance and slavery.

Issues like minimum wage, high inflation, hunger, the president seeking healthcare abroad, unemployment, bad governance, and corruption were listed as some prevalent issues making youths endanger their lives on the Mediterranean, just to get a better future, not knowing if they will arrive Europe or not.

Although majority of artists who promised to participate in the protest did not show up, Celebrities like comedian Seyi Law, Nigerian-German musician, producer and social activist Adegoke Odukoya, better known as Adé Bantu, and other Nigerians were present at the peaceful protest, walking to and from the AU office chanting with placards and back to UN office where they spoke alongside some organisations supporting the movement, addressing the causes and suggesting possible solution to the problem.
